Biography :

Ana Kvirikashvili is a PhD Candidate at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) and has had a grant from this university since 2018. She is working on her thesis, The Circulation of Georgian Literature: Between the Local and the Global (1995-2020), under the supervision of Diana Roig-Sanz, principal investigator at the Global Literary Studies Research Lab (UOC), and the co-supervision of Harsha Ram (University of California, Berkeley). She holds a bachelor’s degree in fine arts and a master’s degree in the humanities. In 2020, she carried out a research stay at the Institute of Czech Literature (Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague) with professor Ondřej Vimr, head of the Global and Digital Literary Studies Lab at said institute, and attended Harvard University’s Institute for World Literature. Her research interests include Georgian and post-Soviet literature and culture, the sociology of literature and translation, and cultural history, art, and printed art.
