SNC-mt joins the Mountain Partnership membership

Exciting News!
Caucasus Network for Sustainable Development of Mountain Regions (Sustainable Caucasus )  and the Scientific Network for the Caucasus Mountain Region (SNC-mt)  joined the field of membership of the Mountain Partnership, United Nations voluntary alliance of partners. 

As part of our institutional mission, we share the objectives of the Mountain Partnership – which addresses the challenges facing mountain regions by tapping the wealth and diversity of resources, knowledge, information, and expertise, from and between its members, to stimulate concrete initiatives at all levels that will ensure improved, quality of life and environments in the world’s mountain regions.

Sustainable Caucasus and SNC-mt will act as the liaison between the countries of the Caucasus region and the Mountain Partnership alliance members with the ability to mobilize and link up much-needed mountain research competencies and capacities Caucasus-wide. We believe that the Caucasus region has the potential to play a significant role in addressing the most urgent global needs relating to sustainable mountain development.
